Yellow Breeches, 6/20/22

I picked up Joel and Eric at Precision Fly and Tackle in Mt. Holly for a full day of fun fly fishing. The morning was 54 degrees but quickly warmed to 81 under sunny skies. The water was crystal clear and OK flow. The water temperature is still plenty cool to fish. There were still some caddis and BWO’s hatching with some rising trout. I was surprised to see so many anglers on the water, but forgot about the new holiday. We bounced around and avoided the parking lot of cars. I worked with Eric since he is still learning and Joel just showed him good water and put them both on trout all day. We fished dry/dropper set ups and then some nymph fishing off indicators. They did very well. We had plenty of hook-ups and landed some good native browns and some very nice colorful rainbows. We all had a great time and it was a very successful day. I still have openings this week and into July. It is not to late to get out and have a great day yourself.
