Falling Springs, 6/26/22
Peter has traveled through PA for years, but had never fished. This year he decided to after hearing so many great things of the area. He met me at my house at 7:50AM and we fished until noon. The water was crystal clear and 57 degrees. We did see some tan caddis, but it was the breezy dropping terrestrials to the surface that had the trout boiling at the surface. I set my Orvis Clearwater 8’6” 4WT up with terrestrial and tied on my BH green caddis. I switched out terrestrial patterns a few times. Peter had more than an amazing morning. He easily landed 13 browns and 2 rainbows. Even though it is hot out, I still have cold water and feeding trout. 1/2 days are perfect for this time of year. I have opening this week and the following weeks to come. Follow Mike Heck’s Trout Guides on Facebook to see all of todays videos Peter wanted me to take today.
