Yellow Breeches, 12/22/23
I met up with Jim and Mike just before 9AM. They both want to learn more about the stream and how to fish it. We fished until 1PM under cloudy skies all day. It was to get 44 degrees, but only got to 37 degrees with a 35 degree start. The water is a little stained, 50 degrees and in perfect fishing shape. We only saw a few gray midges flying around. We walked to the stream and told them perfect double nymph set-ups off indicators or straight up high-sticking. It did not take long for Mike to land a 10” brown. Jim missed his first two, but came on very strong. They ended up putting nine 10 to 14 inch browns in the net. To say the very least, that was a outstanding winter outing. We are planning a few more winter trips so they will know the stream come next year.
