Yellow Breeches, 10/12/22
I was waiting at Mt. Holly Precision Fly and Tackle for Will and Rob to show up. They arrived and we packed up my truck and we were on the water from 9AM till 1PM. It was 45 degrees, sunny and warmed up to 68 degrees. The water was clear, 53 degrees and we seen plenty of caddis, BWO’s and a few tricos hatching. So I set both my Orvis rods up with caddis and BH caddis droppers and we went at it. It was not 10 minutes on the stream Will and Rob missed a few. I watched and it was a little line management. We kept at it and had a dozen missed trout. We took a little walk down stream and these guys put on a show to end the day. We ended up with 6 trout in the net and the most of them were very nice trout. The one male hook-jawed brown was pushing 2lbs. It was a great day on the water and cant wait to our spring 2023 trip.
