Yellow Breeches, 06/15/24
Well it took 17 years, but finally my buddy, “Big Jim” was pressured by his two buddies at Edison this past winter to book a date. So, the night before it began. We acutualy got a quick fish in after a nice diner and Pete missed two and landed a brown. The sulphurs were just starting when we decided time to get back. Jim, Pete and Mike stayed at Precision’s Air B&B and I met them and we talked about the old days at the shows. We may have stayed up a little to late. We started around 7:30AM and four whipped guys finished around 3PM. The water was clear, good flow. It went from 58 to 64 degrees. We saw plenty of rising trout to caddis and terrestrials. We fished dries all day. I’m sure some people walking the stream may have thought that we just came from the “Nut House”. But this is me and my buddies. They had a ball and told Jim they are coming down next year. They missed, lost and broke off many wild browns from 7 to 15 inches and landed many as well. After this weekend, even more stories will be told.
I will be leaving Monday June 17th and won’t be returning until June 27th . A well needed cruise with Tracy, Fisher an dexyended family.
