Yellow Breeches 06/14/24
Today I had the distinct honor to guide our former U.S. Secretary of Health & human Services. We started at 7:30 AM and finished early so he could be back for an event. The weather was not bad. It quickly rose into the 80’s but the clouds rolled in keeping the humidity down. The stream was clear an 61 to 65 with some tan caddis coming off. He liked his dry fly fishing, so I went with dry/dropper set ups. I did some casting refining and showed him how to roll cast. It did not take long and we had trout on the hook. Not all got to the net, but easily a 30 trout day of 5” to 15” wild browns and only one rainbow. We are already in makings for the fall trip and again in 2025. Met a great new friend and man the stories!
