Yellow Breeches, 05/27/23

I want to start by thanking Mike and all the vertrans for their service for keeping our great country safe. I met up with Mike and his buddy Ron for a full day on the stream. We fished from 7:30AM until 2:30PM when they decided they needed to head back home. It was sunny, light and breezy and warmed from 55 to 78 degrees. The water was clear, 59 degrees and plenty of tan caddis enticing trout to surface feed. They were both very, very good fly fisherman. We fished dry/droppers all day and man what a day. It was another banner day. My arm is tired from landing so many wild browns and rainbows. They caught many in the mid-teens. Mike and Ron had to bring in around 30 trout. Mike told me mid-day that he did a bunch of research on guides in the area and he knew I was the guy. I told him that means so much to me and I put my heart into each and every trip. I can’t wait to get them on the brook trout the next time we fish.
