Yellow Breeches, 05/25/24
The “Dynamic Dou” was back in action again. We spent the day with Curt, Stephanie and there two daughters for a full day on the water. We set off at 7:30AM and finished around 3PM. The water is incredible. It is flowing great and 58 degrees and only warmed to 60 by 1PM. It was sunny most of the day warmed to a humid 84 degrees. We did have a 15 minute storm delay just after lunch. There was some splashy rises to tan caddis, plus we saw some sulphurs and midges. Ben went downstream with the girls and set up nymphs off indicators. I set up dry/droppers and it did not take long for the net to get to work. As the day went on we put mostly wild browns and two rainbows in the net. They missed plenty, but still close to a 20 trout day. Can’t wait for the October Steelhead trip with them.
