Antietam/Red Run 5/21/24-5/22/24

I met up with Dale and his son Baz for a great two days on the best water in PA. They stayed at the farmhouse, but got in to late to fish the 1/4 mile we tell guest to fish on their own. This 1/4 mile stretch has some amazing fish. We started both days around 7:30. It was very hot each day and sunny. Both days started in the 60’s and warmed to high 80’s. The water is clear to tinted and 57 to 61 degrees. Dale just wanted me to be with his son and I hated to set him on water he did not know, but in two days Dale landed a bunch of wild browns. Baz did great, but just lost a bunch, because his hook set was off for not fishing in over 2 years. All in all they had 8 trophy browns on, lost more and landed 20. They are already planning a 2025 trip in April. I wish I has more great pictures on my Facebook page, but I crushed my phone screen Tuesday when I took a spill.

Ladies do not forget to book the water and farmhouse for the women’s event! I have guided and never have I seen streams that you have the chance at a big trout anytime you hit the water. I still have dates for late September into winter for the big run of browns.
