Yellow Breeches, 04/26/25
I’m so glad we decided to roll with today. Myself, Justin and Nick kept flip flopping over fishing today with what weather may or may not move into the area. Justin has talked to me for many years at the fly shows and finally wanted to hang out on the water with me. He invited his friend Nick, who was a very accomplished angler so I spent more time with Justin to get him to a new level. As always before every Breeches trip, I drive the stream to see what stream pressure I’m facing. Today it was a full stream. I was hoping for rain and it came in and at that time I moved from where we were fishing. The water is still clear, low and 51 degrees. All fishing was done with nymphs and indicators. My gamble paid off. The rain thinned out the stream and they had an amazing time. From 10AM until 3PM Nick and Justin landed lord knows how many trout. We did get a few browns, but mostly rainbows. They were both extremely happy with the day and that I only wanted the best experience for their day on the water.
