Susquehanna River, 7/27/22

Fisher and I went up to the river this morning. We fished from 9AM until 11:30AM. The river was clear and ideal wading level. It was humid and 74 degrees warming to 84 when we left. I fished with the fly rod and fisher used his bait casting rod. Fisher only wanted one big one. He did miss one. I fished with poppers and the Game Changers you can find on my web site Fisher ties. I picked up 10 smallmouth from 7 to 12 inches, missed at least 5 more on poppers. I nailed a pig of a smallmouth on a Game Changer. It was at least 18” and lost it as I was landing it. Fisher had his weight scale waiting. Oh well next time. If anyone is interested, I will now again be offering full day wade trips to the river with either fly or tradition gear. You will have plenty of action and a great time.
