Conococheague & Falling Springs, 8/3/22

Ken and Bill met up at my house and we were on the “Jig” by 8AM. I was going to call Bill on Tuesday, but I knew he would still want to go out. Sometimes being on the stream with a great friend is most important. The air was already 70 degrees and only kept getting hotter under the clear skies. The water was clear and low again. We were greeted with some rising trout but they quickly fell right to the bottom as the sun hit the water. I quickly pulled them off and we hit Falling Springs. They did catch 2, but not the species we wanted. We got on Falling Springs and it was clear 61 degrees and trout were just hanging out on the bottom.. We tried to entice them up. Then switched to nymphs. We did get to or three on the hook, 1 on a cricket and two on nymphs. It was a fun morning and we all look forward to a fall trip.
