Private Water - Antietam Creek, 03/12/24
Ron, Jerry, Ben and I did a little stream work on the water on Antietam Creek. We worked till around noon and then we hit the water for a little. I did not fish at first, but Ben and his daughter hit a run of water. While Jerry, Ron and I watched, we saw plenty of BWO’s, stoneflies and midges hatching. The water was stained and great flow. It was still around 46 degrees. Ben landed a nice 17 inch rainbow. Later, we moved upstream and I landed a rainbow that barely fit in my net. I got it in while Ben was laughing at me. Definitely buying a bigger Fishpond net this weekend.
