LeTort/Yellow Breeches, 10/07/24

I was waiting for Peter Brooks who is an award winning writer to show up for a 1/2 day of fishing. It was sunny, breezy and warmed to 74 degrees. Peter has heard so much on the area he finally decided he wanted to walk these famous trout streams. Ben John will finish his trip up tomorrow since I’m booked for my private water. We fished the Letort from 11AM until 2PM. The water is clear and 52 degrees. Only seen a few midges flying around. I set out like I always do with streamers. Peter had two good short strikes. One of the browns was well into the high teens.

So for about 45 minutes, we hit the breeches so I could give Peter a taste of just how quick these wild browns are for tomorrow. The water was clear and 55 degrees. Not much was hatching, but still surface fishing was on fire. In that short of time frame, he stuck 10 little wild browns. It was a great day and such a great guy to spend the afternoon with.
