Falling Springs, Conococheague 5/15/23
James saw my post about my last minute cancellation and took quick advantage of it. We have fished together for several years now and today quickly became an epic day. Like my “Mike Heck’s Trout Guides” Facebook page to see the pictures. We started at 7:30Am and fished till 3PM. It was 55 degrees but the sunny skies warmed things up to 77. We fished Falling springs till around noon. Did not see anything hatching. I set James up with tandem nymphs off an indicator and it was gametime. It did not take long for the net to get wet and it stayed wet. James landed 7 over 15 inches and at least another 10 more 6 to 14 inch trout. We were going to just stay, but wanted to find a few on the Conococheague. It was still tinted and a cool 53 degrees. We did see some caddis and a few rising trout. We gave the dry dropper a try and had 2 on the dropper. So we changed back to nymphs and had another 5 browns. James had an awesome time and was so glad he seen my post on Facebook. I still have May 28 through 31 open.
