Falling Springs & Conococheague 9/27/22
I got up and started to tie fly orders but my fingers had had issues. I decided to get some errands done. I was going right home but I could feel the water calling. It was talking to me. It was sunny out, 61 and a little on the breezy side .The water was clear, 52 and I did see some trout rising to midges. I had one more stop to hit and then the mountains called me. So I hit the upper “Jig” for about 40 minutes. The water was clear, 55 degrees and not much hatching. I caught two nice brook trout and missed one while I was sleeping behind the rod. I’m all but full for October, But have openings for November and the fishing is still very good.
