I spent the morning refilling my guide fly boxes and tied a few flies for the Battenkill River. I will be leaving Friday and doing a book signing/fly tying day at Dette’s Fly Shop. Plus I have a big conference call coming in and wanted to unstress. Hope to be sharing some big news on Facebook later today. It was sunny and 64 degrees out. The water was stained and 55 with plenty of caddis flying around. I was out for about 90 minutes so I could get back and pack up my fly tying stuff. I fished dry/droppers off 5X Scientific Anglers Absolute Trout leader material. I had quite the time on the water. I landed 2 rainbows and 3 browns. One of the browns filled the net. Still have those late May dates open so take advantage to get into the great fly fishing we are having.
