Roger and Lincoln pulled in to my house just before 8AM and we were on the water for the morning. We fished till just after noon. It was 60 and warmed quickly to 78 degrees under sunny skies. This morning was all about learning the sport. We worked on nymphing, but after watching them we switched over to upstream casting with dry/dropper set-ups. We also did some stream entomology which is the best thing to learn. We received some well needed rain most of the day on Saturday. The stream was back up and flowing very stained and 56 degrees. There were several species of caddis hatching and we did have some dry fly action. We unfortunately did not get any to the net, but not short on the action. I worked with Lincoln most of the time. Roger had 5 trout on and Lincoln had 3 fooled. It was a great morning and we will be doing another 1/2 day soon.
