Blue Line Spring Creeks, 04/26/24
Dale and I met up at 8AM for his last full day until he meets me down on Antietam in May. We fished until 3PM. It was cloudy and light wind and 46 degrees. It became sunny and warmed to 66 degrees. The streams were clear and 52 degrees. Some midges and tan caddis were hatching, but nothing sipping off the surface. Dale wanted to see a few more of the little spring creeks in the valley. I loved it because these were streams I grew up on. I wish I have time to fish them but get too busy at times. We hit two spring creeks West of Chambersburg today. They did not disappoint. They are full of small wild rainbows and some browns. Dale was all up for it and he was more then happy. We fished with mostly nymphs and did al little streamer fishing. Dale caught a handful of rainbows and we had a easily mid-teen brown follow a streamer. What a great day with a great guy showcasing our lower Cumberland valley spring creeks.
