Big Springs, 7/18/22
I did some serious fly tying this morning and took off to hit the water for about 2 hours. The stream was clear and crystal clear. It was cloudy and very muggy out. The air temperature was 76 and water was 54 degrees. As always, some midges and craneflies were over the water with a few rising trout. I fished with a Fire ant and a small MH Shrimp as my dropper. I did switch the ant for a cricket midway through my quick trip. I did well. I picked up three rainbows and two small brook trout. Plenty of great fishing despite the heat. Call me if interested in a summer trip.
