I was waiting for Eric and his two sons, Jack and Ethan for their first ever fly fishing trip. We fished from 8:30AM until 12 under clear and calm skies. The air was 70’s and the water was stained and 65. We started with a casting lesson behind the Precision Beaver Creek location. It took about an hour and they were all casting 30’. We hit the water and did a little insect and leader coarse. Then we worked on several different fly fishing tactics. It ended up being another great beginner course. They missed two and landed a pretty nice brown trout. Eric and his boys definitely want to do it more. Eric purchased a great Orvis Encounter outfit to get started after I had him cast it at the shop.

Happy Father’s day to all the fine dads out there. I got home to attemp to unwrap my gift from Fisher. It took a knife, hammer and crow bar. Gotta love my son. And of course he videoed the entire thing.
