Antietam Creek, 02/15/23
I had to pick up two cases of books for the coming shows and orders up at Blue Ridge Summit so I took some back roads which put me on the stream quickly. I needed to get home to work on more orders, but I wanted to fish for about 45 minutes since I was in the area. I was on the stream around 10AM and fished to just before 11AM. It was sunny and pushing 55 degrees out. The water was clear and good water flow. The water was 39 degrees, but I did see some midges and black stoneflies. I walked upstream from my truck and fished down with a a Mickey Finn real quick. I hit a few log jams because I had to get home and hit the vise. I landed three beautiful little brookies. The weather is looking great again next week and I can get you on the water before we leave for the Cabin Fever Show.
