Yellow Breeches/Mountain Creek, 5/13/22
Ben and I had another group trip with four amazing guys. Been took two of them out for a smallmouth float trip the day before and they got into some nice smallmouth. Today we met up at Mt. Holly Precision Fly and Tackle for an all day trout trip. We fished from 8 to 4:30PM. The water was dirty and 50 degrees. We seen some caddis and a few sulphurs, but nothing really rising. I took off with two of the guys and Ben took the other two. I had my guys fishing double nymphs off indicators for most for most of the day. I tried dry droppers and nothing was pecking at the surface. We all met up for lunch and Ben did much the same, nymphs. After lunch Ben wen higher up on the breeches, but I was tired of the crowds so I check out Mountain creek and found some open water. These guys were a blast. They were more into just fishing and to having fun away from work. We stuck a bunch of trout even with, heavy water and a big low front rolling in. Cant wait to be out with them next year.
