Yellow Breeches & Mountain Creek 5/31/20

Meet up with Wayne and Joe for a full day of fly fishing. Wayne is new to fly fishing and Joe never had cast a fly rod. On top of that they wanted to se some new water they had not fished and different areas to fish them. The weather was amazing and the water was just as nice. The breeches was clear high 50’s with tan caddis popping off all day. Mountain creek was clear, high 50’s but we did not see anything coming off. We only spent about 20 minutes fishing Mountain creek. The Breeches was really heavily pressured with anglers. I pounced around the crowds. We spent the morning working on casting, stream techniques and how to ID insects and then pick proper flies from the fly box. Joe picked up on casting very quickly and Wayne worked on upstream presentations all day. Once they got comfortable they caught both stocked and wild browns all afternoon long. It was a great time on the water.
