Yellow Breeches 4/22/22

Today was an exciting day for me. I had the pleasure of taking out 6 great guys with my friend Ben John as the second guide. We all took off at 8AM, I had three and took them below the dam at Allenberry, Ben was further up below where the “Run” dumps in. The water was clear and still flowing mid-40’s. We seen midges, caddis but not many rising trout. We moved some trout in the morning to nymphs and caddis. We ate lunch and went upstream to fish above where mountain creek dumps in. At the time, it was in the 70’s water still clear and high 40’s and much more caddis activity. There were plenty of rising trout and we were into plenty of wild browns and a few nice stocked trout. The entire group of guys had a great time. Evan told me he had never caught a brown trout before and that these wild browns were so beautiful. We had, Mike who was a water painter and did he paint some beautiful picture of us today. It was a great time and can’t wait to do it again Saturday.
