Yellow Breeches, 10/12/24
I was waiting for Robyn and Ben to arrive at Precision ant 9AM. They showed up early and we fished from 9AM until 12:30PM. Water is still low and crystal clear. The water was 55 degrees and we were greeted by rising trout to tan caddis. It was almost 60 degrees under sunny skies and warmed to 74 degrees. Seeing that I flip flopped my normal beginner routine. We just hit the water with dry flies and Robyn and Ben did well. Ben landed three browns and Robyn missed two. They were back for a casting lesson, went over leaders and much more. Ben went back to the stream and landed one more. I worked with Robyn and WOW. She was casting with her right hand, but naturally left-handed. That girl could cast 30 feet easily with a little correct coaching. What a great morning and 2 new fly anglers added the the fly fishing fraternity.
