Yellow Breeches, 06/03/23

Once again I met Doug, Jeff and Dave for a full day of fun and laughs. We have been doing this since 2018 when they came down with the New York Fly Fishers. We fished from 8AM until noon when Chef Jeff wanted to cook us what was the must awesome lunch. We then went back to the shop. Jeff and Dave said they caught plenty while I took Doug out with a Contact II so he could cast it. The stream was clear and 61 degrees. We did see plenty of caddis and fished dry/droppers for the morning. The was plenty of warm air and lots of sun beating down upon us again. It was 82 by 11AM. There were a ton of people out because the Angler’s were stocking. I said ’”Let’s walk"“ and we got out of the mayhem well above us. These guys know their fly fishing. I just pointed out runs to fish and worked up and downstream to make sure they were all into trout. Needless to say, the net stayed wet and they were actually tired of catching trout. They easily caught 30+ wild browns and some stocked rainbows and browns. I can’t wait for our 2024 trip. If you want the same Yellow Breeches action I have June 8 and 9, and 12-14 open.
