Yellow Breeches, 05/07/24-05/8/24

Another year and another great day and a half with Pat and Dave. on 5/07 we fished from 8AM until 3:30Pm. The stream was clear and cool. Not much hatching and still bottom fishing. Dave fished with double nymphs while Pat still wanted his dry/droppers. I will never talk a person out of how they want to fish. I have always changed to how they want to fly fish. The weather was mostly cloudy, but then the sun came out around 12:30 it became humid and 82 degrees. The morning of 5/08 we started around 7:30AM and fished to just about noon. Water was in the same shape and only midges flying around. Dave and Pat set up the same as the day before. They loved it because they saw sections of the stream they did not see in May of 2023. Pat said the, “Best trip ever”. I guess in 2025, I’m gonna have to knock it out of the park for them. We easily landed 15 rainbows and 7 brown trout. And this is not counting the many long distance release trout. These two are a blast to be with, they kept the net wet and me running. Can’t wait to do it next year.
