Yellow Breeches, 04/17/25
What a difference 24 hours makes. Yesterday, Partick caught plenty of fish despite us fighting the wind all day.
Steve and I met before 9AM and we were pleased to have a sunny Bluebird day. It slowly rose into the mid 50’s. Water is still clear and 44 degrees with midges, craneflies and Black and Tan caddis hatching. We did see more rising trout today. Steve is somewhat new, but we worked on nymphing and then finished by working on bettering his cast fishing dry droppers. The takes were very light to say the least. Steve missed several and lost a big rainbow in flight. We did bring a beautiful brown and rainbow to net during this 1/2 day venture.
