Spring Creeking, 09/06/23
I needed a little break from the fly tying vise. I fished a little spring creek not far from my house for about two hours this morning. It was sunny, humid and already 80 degrees. But the water was clear, great flow and 56 degrees. It was refreshing to get the legs wet under the heat. I broke out my Orvis Superfine 6&1/2’ 3 weight and fished terrestrials with small BH droppers. I made sure that my camera was ready for the two photos I took. I picked up 5 native rainbows and one fair stocked rainbow. It is to cool off and there is still great trout fishing left. Fall is just around the corner!
