Falling Spring 6/14/20
Jeff and Manny arrived at 8am for a 1/2 day of fly fishing. Jeff was well knowledgeable, but this was his buddy Manny’s this was his first time with a fly rod in hand. We hit the town section and then ventured upstream by late morning. The stream was clear and 53 degrees with some midges and craneflies hatching. We saw no rising trout the entire time. Manny picked up both roll casting and false casting very quickly. Never had I seen someone catch on so quickly. Manny was able to cast well enough, and make proper presentations to get him into 4 trout. Two lost, two missed. Jeff nailed a hard fighting 16 inch brown trout and then pick up a 13 inch brown from the upper section. The three of us had a great time. Manny is now a part of the fly fishing community. He is hooked!!
