Conococheague and Falling Springs, 8/9/22
Marc showed up at my house around 9AM and we fished to just about 1PM. We did a quick casting lesson on the “Jig” because Marc thought he was not casting well. Actually he was just fine. I did show him how to roll cast. He did not know much on leaders and knots so we went over that before heading to the Falling Springs. Marc did miss a brown while we did a little work on his stream techniques. The “Jig” is low and clear, but trout are still feeding until about 10AM in the upper reaches. The Falling Springs was clear and 60 degrees. We fished terrestrials and droppers and it ended up being a great morning. Marc missed two on a dropper which happens since that was the first time he had ever fished with them. He lost two on on terrestrials and we got a brown and a rainbow trout to the net. It was very humid and hot out, but trout are still on the bite.
