Been very busy with fly orders and now getting ready for a week at the hunting cabin. I did some inside and outside house work and then I decided to take the Polaris 4-wheeler for a ride. My son had a rod put against it so I said, “Why Not”. I took a ride just above the house and hit the stream. I grabbed my Orvis chest pack and hit the stream for 50 minutes. The air temperature was in the 50’s and partly cloudy. The water was clear, good flow and around 53 degrees. I saw a few BWO’s and plenty of midges flying around, but nothing rising. I stuck with my favorite BH caddis nymphs and landed a brook trout, rainbow and a brown trout. I wish you a safe and happy Thanksgiving. I’m still doing winter guiding. It is best just to do half days and we can start at 9 to 10AM and go from there.
