Fisher and I met Chris and his three amigos at my house at 8AM. They recently bought a cabin above Michaux and wanted a complete tour of the stream. Chris and I spoke days out and he still wanted to go. As he said, “Not worried so much about fishing we just want to know the stream”. So It worked out great and they all loved it. We started in town and worked all the way to the state park. As we fished stained water became very dirty and was rising all day. It was cloudy, but the high wind made it interesting at times. They flat out could not believe how much water there was to fish and how good the fishing was. I actually did not do much of the guiding. Chris wanted to walk many of the spots with me. So, Fisher spent most of the time with Dave, Brian and Arron. I helped with the set-ups which was tandem nymphs off indicators. Chris and I were once again on another stream tour and when we came back, Fisher, switched them off to streamers which moved and got strikes. I did get to help each of them at some point with hints to bettering their stream techniques. It was not long before they moved trout and as we worked upstream location to location. We moved trout in every section of stream! We moved at least 15 trout and got the net wet several times netting trout. It was a great day and they are coming back for more of a true fly fishing day. What a great bunch of guys. It certainly was a fun day. Seemed like 6 country boys having fun on the stream
