Big Springs, 03/31/23

I met up with Bill at his house and we fished Big Springs from 8:45AM to 1:00PM. It was to be 52 degrees, but it was only 34 degrees with very little insect activity. I knew we would have to work for them. Bill had been fly fishing, but took a long time away from it so he wanted me to teach him how to fish these tricky streams. He is a big Euro Nymphing fan so we fished tandem nymph set-ups. I also had him work the stream with streamers and then some dry/dropper set ups to teach him that as well. We moved trout and two were very nice ones. Had three on nymphs and a nice one crush a streamer. It was a great day on the water and we will be meeting up again to fool some Falling Spring rainbows.
