Beaver Creek, MD 01/30/22

First off I want to thank everyone who came to the Edison Fly Fishing Show this past weekend. I got to meet many new friends, hang out with old acquaintances. My seminar on “Fishing Spring Creeks Easier not the Hard Way” was a pack house. If you want to book a trip with me it is time to think about it. April though June is filling up.

Anyway Tracy and I got back safe and I could not sleep well. Was still winding down from the show. I had to work the Precision Beaver Creek shop today. I was putting some coffee in my head at 7:15AM and saw it was already 45 degrees. So I just decided to drive down and hit the stream before I opened the shop at 10AM. The water was clear, 52 and abundant midges flying around. I walked down to the stream, still foggy from the show, but when I saw trout rising I got a little more awake. I tied on some 6X and started with gray CDC midges. I got two rising browns on the CDC midges. After that he seem to lose interest in the midge so I switched up and I stuck that brown with a black disco midge. It was a great way to start the day at the shop.
