Antietam, 06/11/24

I met up with Bob and Eric at the farmhouse for a full day on Antietam. The water was clear and 54 degrees. The air was to get into the 70’s but with the heavy cloud cover it stayed in the mid-60’s most of the day. There was not much hatching, however Eric still wanted to fish dry/droppers. I set Bob up with double nymphs and we hit the incredible water we have. I was not long in and we were into fish. These wilds take very light so they did miss several. They landed a bunch of 10-14 inch wild browns. We then tried some streamers and as Jerry says” Welcome to Antietam”. We moved five over 20 inches and lost a mid 20inch brown and then we did land a hog of a rainbow. It was such an awesome day on this amazing water.
