Yellow Breeches, 11/19/24

Rick, Steve and I met for a 1/2 day make-up morning from this summer. I would have loved to pushed it till next year, but Steve was already here from SC and they knew with the low water what we were in for. Still they say, “I’m their guy for the future”. We hit the water at 9AM with the clouds starting to roll in. It was in the high 50’s and the water was 47 degrees. It was “All In” on nymphs and indicators. I told them to just focus on slow runs. It worked out. They missed some and we landed a 12” brown. They are fishing tomorrow, so not to leave them hanging out to dry, I showed them some other late season, low water spots I would try myself.

Now packing for Erie. If you can schedule a last minute Erie trip I have Friday, Saturday and Tuesday open. They got water today and are now finally pushing more steelhead upstream.
