Erie, Elk Creek Steelhead 11/11/24

Well after Sunday’s rain, we explain that all we need is some water you will see what this is all about. Erie got more rain that expected. I was just hanging out and Kristin texted me that she wanted to fish Monday morning. I was all in because I knew in would be crazy. I pinned her the fishing location to meet me at 6AM. She only wanted a quick fish until 9AM. I was there at 5:15AM and soon a truck rolled in. It was the “Steelhead” guy himself Ben John. Kristin rolled in and as usual she couldn’t wait for daylight. It was not long, I thought I was trying to land another steelhead in the dark. We were on fish, but I noticed more leaves in the water and the rock she was standing on was now under water. I told her let’s move with the quickly changing conditions. Well from 7AM until 9AM she had 13 on and we landed 10 very nice steelhead. That’s the way to end a trip!
