Antietam/Red Run, 03/19/25
Hans, Fred, John and Shawn were ready to roll at 8AM. We hit my lower property to around 11AM. Fred needed to get back on the road. It was not the 51 degree morning they called for. It was sunny and 33 degrees. Water was clear and 42 degrees. They fished nymphs and slow retrieved streamers. John missed 1, but we move several nice browns which showed interest but lack to feed. Fred left after lunch and we set off on Red Run. By 1PM we did see many midges and some rising trout. They fished until 2:30 because of travel home. Fred landed one on a dry, Hans picked up two wild browns. John and Shawn both landed 1 brown each. All these wild browns ranged from 12 to 15 inches. That is not a bad day and a half, plus they all had a great time and loved the farmhouse stay.
